The popular Windows Phone app we know and love, FB Pages Manager, is set to receive a major overhaul, updating to version 1.5, bringing with it some sweeping changes, including bug fixes and a new set of features.
In case you've missed the train completely, FB Pages Manager is chosen by Microsoft as the best alternative to Facebook Pages Manager and also among other FB Pages Manager apps in Windows Phone Store. It is the most popular Facebook Pages Manager app with more than 23000 active users and more than 45000 downloads.
So what do we get to see in v1.5?
WHAT'S NEW:
*Link to the UserVoice page now provided and the feedback can now be provided through a simple Facebook message
*The WP8 version is now built using native code
*The Lite version now includes in-app purchases
*You can now preview your posts, manually add links to them, schedule them and also like the posts
*The app now provides notifications for new updates to the app
*Support for Swedish, Polish and Malay languages
*Just like in the Facebook app, refresh is now just a pull. Pull down to refresh your timeline and messages
*Logout option now provided
*The full version now provides Posts Insights
*Message inbox now provided
*You can now toggle on and off the cover photo of your page
*You can now receive toasts about new messages
WHAT'S FIXED: Quite a lot, blissfully :-)
*Messages are now in sync with the app, so both the app and the normal webpage receive the message at the same time
*The dates and times are now relative to the local time
*Album photos can now be shared
*Its now possible to make posts with just a link as the content
*Special album photos can now be opened
*Likes now appear on the album photos
*It is now possible to change both the cover photo and profile photo at the same time
*The app no longer crashes upon opening broken URLs within posts
*Photo status notifications now appear within the app
*Toasts and Tile Count issues fixed
*Random bugs like error messages while posting and loading more posts now fixed
*Sharing a post no longer removes all the posts o the app feed
*Shared posts now have the original post info and the shared message
*Comment count now affected upon addition and removal of comments
*Links starting with "www" now recognized
*The app should run smoothly on 256MB devices ( seriously, does anybody even use these?! )
*Images are now displayed in landscape mode too
There have been some changes to the UI of the app, with the square tiles blending beautifully with the rest of the system. Also, some performance improvements have been noted.
The app usually costs Rs. 120, but is right now on sale at Rs. 80. Grab it soon, and enjoy the updates, set to arrive in couple of days.
