Federal Bank India has launched an app called FedBook,a convenient and secure mobile passbook for your Federal Bank Account. Federal Bank already has an mobile banking app FedMobile but this app keeps you updated with real time transactions without the need of phone calls or SMS. The app also has options for adding tags and personalized remarks for transactions. But please do note that you need your mobile mobile number to be registered with Federal Bank for FedAlert or FedMobile facility.

Main features of the app:

• Facility to tag transactions and add personalized remarks for transactions 
• Search and filter facility to find a transaction. 
• View Transactions of all operative accounts at a single window

The app is quite useful when you are on the go and is much easier than the traditional way of going to the branch and updating passbook.The UI is good and we didn't find any bugs. But we think the feature should be integrated with the FedMobile app so that customers don't have to install a separate app. So whatever it may be, we recommend Federal Bank customers among our readers to try out this app and tell us how do you feel!

Regarding Ragnarok Mobile, Tango,Line and Social Cam we have no news so far. But we will try to contact the developers soon and will let you know the news at the earliest.We posted about BBM recently and it is coming to Windows Phone early 2014. VLC Player has been confirmed by us long back.Check our old post from here to know about VLC player. Many of our readers have asked about Google apps like YouTube and Google Chrome and our answer is negative. We have no news so far regarding native Google apps for Windows Phone and we don't think Google will support Windows Phone platform in the upcoming months. We are bit surprised that Google Chrome reached top 5. We expected Google Maps to be at the top 5! May be you guys really love  HERE Maps and are satisfied with it.As the community grows, we hope that Google can't ignore WP platform and let's hope for the best.

Popular iPhone app Cycloramic is coming to Windows Phone.The team replied on Facebook that they are working on Windows Phone app when we asked about it. Cycloramic is an app that automatically rotates or spins your iPhone (windows phone in future!) while taking a panoramic photo or video. The app is popular among iPhone users and has surpassed 1 million downloads recently.

For using the app, we need to balance our phone upright on a flat surface. The surface need to be really smooth so that the phone can rotate. Once we press the GO button on the app, the app will make the phone vibrate at right frequencies to rotate the phone in 360 degree.For more details of the app, watch the video below after the break:

Nokia Sirius to launch alongside with Bandit next month says evleaks!

Popular leakster evleaks(@evleaks) has tweeted that Nokia Sirius is going to be launched alongside with Bandit(Lumia 1520) next month. If the news is true, both the devices will be announced on October 22nd as teased by Nokia before. We cannot fully trust the source,but all the past leaks by evleaks were true.See the tweet from him below:

Nokia Sirius is a Windows RT tablet by Nokia, which looks like a giant Lumia. Last month a image of tablet suspecting to be Nokia Sirius was leaked. The 10.1 inch tablet will be running at full HD resolution and will sport 2 cameras, 6MP and 2MP.  Different color variants of the tablet will be available for a more personalized experience. The device is assuming to be powered by Snapdragon's 800 CPU and will have 2GB of RAM. The device is expected to have a 10 hour battery backup along with LTE connectivity.Physical ports are also present,which include microSD (extending the 32GB internal storage), Micro-HDMI and Micro-USB support. We can also expect a external keyboard just like Microsoft's Surface tablets have.

Recently we had reports that Microsoft is pushing Nokia to cancel the Sirius tablet as they think that it will potentially affect Microsoft's Surface tablets. It seems that confusion is going on everywhere. We need to wait for an official announcement from Nokia or Microsoft to confirm the validity of the information. Let's hope that the news is true, so that we get double gift's on October 22nd. We will update the post as soon as we get more information.

We cannot trust the source as the image can be easily faked digitally.

Microsoft has released Where's my app? for Windows Phone 8 and 7.x users which helps them to find alternatives and equivalents of apps found in Apple Store and Google Play Store. This apps comes in handy if you've ported from Android/iOS to Windows Phone Platform.

WhatsApp for Windows Phone Updated

     WhatsApp is a popular smartphone messenger available in all platforms including Windows Phone. But the app was not the best for Windows Phone platform. Users faced any problems including late notifications, freezing, reboots, etc .But now the team has pushed out a significant update which pushes the app into version 2.10.488. The UI of the app has now improved, notifications bugs fixed and several other languages are now supported.

     According to wmpoweruser, the app no longer uses background audio to maintain a connection to their service, but instead uses a proper background agent. This will solve a large number of bugs users have been experiencing with unreliable connections.

 The major changes are:-

• User interface improvements
• Support for new languages.
• Abandonment of the APIs related to streaming music that left started to keep the connection to the service (Only on Windows Phone 8)
• New Emoticons
• Fixed problems with notification
• Ability to see the emoticons even in rectangular Tile
• Support Fast resume (If the app is open and you step on a notification arrives, the message opens in an immediate way)
• When you first start it will ask you to back up the chat
• Images displayed in a larger format
• Ability to make a phone call to the selected contact

It's  great to see that the team has worked on to resolve the issues. It also implies that Windows Phone community is important for the the WhatsApp team.
