Lumia 520 vs Lumia 620

                                                       Nokia Lumia 620 and 520 are both low end devices working on Windows Phone 8. Lumia 520 is prices at Rs.9099 and Lumia 620 is priced at Rs.14230 at Indian online retail store flipkart. Both the phones are powered by a Snapdragon S4 Plus Dual Core processor and has 512 MB Ram. There has been discussions over internet about the two phones. Many are confused as the phones are identical  in many ways(Even I too was confused of choosing the right one.Finally chose 620!)

Here we are going to discuss the main differences between  the two:-

• Dimension:- Lumia 520 has dimensions 111x64x 9.9mm and weighs 124 g wheres as Lumia 620 has dimensions 115.1x61.1x11mm and weighs 127g. As per the dimensions and weight 620 seems small and bit bulky as compared to 520.
• Design:- 520 has sharp edges as compared to 620's curved edges. Lumia 520 is available in 5 colors and 620 is available in 7 colors. 520 has more metro look as compared to 620.
• Display:- Lumia 620 has a 3.8" display whereas 520 has 4" display.Both the phones has a resolution of 800 x 480. Being small the 620 has 245 ppi whereas 520 has 234 ppi. This makes the images in 6220 more sharper and bright.Besides these 620 has Nokia Clear black technology,sunlight enhancements,RGB stripe and polarization filter in its display. This makes 620 better option when it comes to display than 620 thought its the smaller one. The sunlight reading capabilities for 620 is worth noting!
• Touch:- 520 is employed with a super sensitive touch whereas 620 has ordinary capacitive touch. So we can use 520 even by wearing gloves and this is a good feature only found in high end phones.
• Sensor:- 620 has a compass sensor in addition to other sensors present in 520. This allows users to use apps like Here maps in a more advanced way.
• FM Radio:- Though FM radio is not present in any of the Lumia phones at present except the  Lumia 925, it will be available to all Lumia by the GDR2 Amber update. But 620 does not have a FM chip in it. FM radio will be available in 520 after the update which is expected to reach the customers by mid-July.
• Battery:- Lumia 520 has 1430 mAh  battery whereas 620 has a 1300 mAh battery. Theoretically 520 must have a longer battery life but having a small display,there won't be much difference in 620.
• Camera:- Lumia 620 has LED flash and secondary camera which is absent in 520. The absence of flash light will be a major disadvantage while taking pictures under low light conditions on 520. Video calling won't be possible in 520 due to the absence of secondary camera.
• Music:- Lumia 620 has Dolby Headphone enhancement and graphical equalizer which is absent in Lumia 520.
• Audio :- In Lumia 620 there is HDR audio recording and there are two microphones.This enables noise cancellation.This feature is absent in Lumia 520.
• NFC :- NFC(Near Field Communication) is present in 620 which allows users to send files by tapping with other phones. This feature is present only in high end phones and it's a surprise for being present in 620. NFC in future will allow users to pay bills using there mobile phones.
• Capacitive buttons:- The capacitive buttons in 620 are back lit but in 520 they ain't back lit
• Price:- The price of 620 is 5k more than 520 but its worth it. If you don't mind the lack of flash,NFC,compass,etc Lumia 520 is a great phone to go for.
